The voice we cast with our wallet has a big impact on our environment. With every purchase, we can not only reduce our environmental footprint, but also influence trends, corporations and economies. With our purchase decision, we probably have the most powerful tool at our disposal for influencing our environment. Let’s embrace this power and the responsibility that comes with it, and let’s buy the right things.
OUR MISSION
Yoga Tree is a sustainable online store that sells yoga, meditation and life related items.
Our mission is to promote conscious consumption in order to reduce our ecological footprint on the planet.
Yoga Tree selects brands and products (such as jewelry) that align with our ethical values, in particular:
- Respect for people who work in production. This means rather small manufacturers, no exploitation companies, no underage work, dignified working conditions in certified facilities.
- Respect for the environment. This often means reusable objects, recycled materials, natural or organic substances, low dyes, if possible, vegetable dyes.
- Respect for customers. This means good, long-lasting quality, beautiful design and fair prices.
- Respect for animals. This means that we do our best where possible to avoid animal products (leather, wool, silk …). We still have blankets with recycled wool and some meditation bells with leather string, but we are looking for alternative solutions that should be available soon.
