This CO@ ® technology uses carbon dioxide to dye polyester fabrics. DyeCoo Textile Systems dispenses liquid CO2 into the machine’s dyeing containers, where heat and pressure convert the liquid CO2 into a supercritical liquid used to dye fabrics. The machine then lowers the heat and pressure, and the CO2 leaves the dyeing containers as a gas. In the process, 95% of the CO2 is recovered and stored as a liquid for reuse, making DyeCoo an almost closed-loop technology. The result is that no process water or chemicals are needed, and energy consumption for the process can be reduced by 50%. In addition, the process is much faster than conventional textile dyeing methods.
